Release Notes 03/15/2009

Export To Excel - Blitz Lead Manager now allows you to export most data directly to Excel. Your Lead List, Neglected Leads, Lead Details, Lead Log, Campaigns, Audit Log, and Users can all be instantly exported by clicking the export to excel icon  in the heading of each data grid. The export works with the full flexibility of the advanced features of each data grid. This allows you to take advantage of the column options feature, sorting, and filtering to allow you to export only the data you need or all of the data.

Copy Campaign Settings - The “Copy Campaign Settings” screen can be accessed by selecting the copy campaign settings icon  on the “Manage Campaign” screen. The “Copy Campaign Settings” screen allows you to copy all of the settings from a source campaign to a new campaign or existing campaign. This feature allows you to copy all of the settings, script, questions, custome column headings, default columns, user privacy settings, and email templates, from the selected source campaign to a selected target campaign or new campaign.

Add User Blank Company - When you add a new user the default company is now set to blank by default. This was done to prevent users from being added to the default company by accident.

Convert Excel File to CSV

CSV, or comma-separated-values, files are native Excel file formats.  Excel can open and read CSV files without any special converters.  Below is an exampl spreadsheet.

Excel Document

In order to create a CSV file, change the “Save as type” box in the Save As dialog box. From the File menu, choose Save As and change the type to CSV.

Save As CSV

Excel will give you a warning message that some features cannot be saved.  Since CSV is a text-only format, you don’t get anything fancy when you save under this method, just the raw data.   Here’s what the file looks like in Notepad after it’s been saved.

Thats it you have converted your Excel document to a CSV document.
